Ice Skatinglessons

We have a lesson for every age and ability! From age 2 upwards your Child can learn to ice skate. Whether it’s Ice Hockey or Figure skating they wish to learn our Coaches are ready to teach. Our classes are fun, friendly and inclusive.

No pre-booking is required to any of our classes please just turn up a minimum of 20 minutes before the lesson start time to get your skates on.

Its PLAYTIME! Our introductory class for children aged 2-6 years old. This is a gentle introduction to ice skating (30 minutes) developing coordination in a creative and playful environment. Followed by a voluntary 15 minutes of Playtime on the ice if Children wish to take part.

Polar Club 1: Group tuition with BIS qualified coaches. Aimed at Children aged 5-16 years.  Pupils learn to skate through a graded badge system every 6 weeks, which can lead on to figure skating excellence.

Polar Club 2: Available to pupils who have completed grades 1-8 in Polar Club 1 Pupils can progress through stages 8-12 and Freestyle 1-6

A new and exciting class to build upon the foundations of Figure Skating, essential for any future skating stars. Skaters must be primary school age (ages 5-11) and already be in Polar Club.

This class is aimed at our younger skaters who already take part in Polar Club to enhance the quality of their basic skating, giving them a strong foundation in fundamental pre-figure skating techniques whilst going alongside their badge tests in Polar Club.

On Ice – 4:15- 5pm

Off Ice Training – 5-6pm

Available to pupils who have completed both Polar 1 & 2. Pupils can progress through Freestyle 7-10 & Arctic Blades 1-10.

Group tuition with an experienced Ice Hockey Coach. Pupils progress through a graded badge system every 6 weeks, which can lead to being part of our Ice Hockey Teams!

Price includes the Friday 4:15-5:45pm session before the lesson starts.

A course of 6 lessons for beginners upwards. See your fitness and agility increase with this fun and friendly activity. Get moves like Dancing on Ice with our in house Coaches who will teach you the basics onwards.

6 consecutive Sundays OR Tuesdays.

An exciting 6-week class for those who want to learn how to play Ice Hockey and skate like a hockey player!

The class is coached by our own Whitley Warriors Ice Hockey Player!

6 Consecutive Wednesdays once signed up.

Once figure skaters reach a certain level they will be invited to take part in Patch practice.

The patch sessions allow our skaters to train and develop their skating skills in an environment that is safe, providing support from peer skaters and BIS trained coaches.

Puck Chasing gives anyone of any level the opportunity to develop their ice hockey skills. Minimum equipment required is Helmet, Stick and Gloves or full kit for under 16s.
